POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Digital Content Marketing Specialist will oversee the online activities across our business. Through operational agility, this specialist will be a key hire to drive growth and retention strategies across the marketing funnel. You will be responsible for the management of website content, adherence to best digital practices including web design and writing for web. Utilising and maximising our platform, you will bring a hands-on CMS approach to publishing and optimizing, updating online content, including bringing to life large projects and campaigns, tools, insights and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Management
- Website Management: Manage Content on all our websites including new product launches, promotions, brand campaigns and catalog maintenance
- Work closely with the design creation team to create blog posts, articles, advertorials, and multimedia content such as videos, podcasts, and infographics.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns to increase lead generation.
- Develop and curate engaging and user-focused website content that aligns with the business’s goals. The creation of original digital content in alignment with key content pillars and content strategy
- Proactively optimise website content on a regular basis, using analytical and reporting tools such as Google Analytics 4, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Including provision of reporting and insights for different audiences and stakeholders.
SEM/SEO/OPTIMISATION
- Defining and developing customer value propositions and key customer experience proof points for each segment to deliver successful plans and tactical activities.
- Be accountable for developing our SEO strategy, conducting keyword research, on-page optimization, and keeping on top of search engine algorithms.
Digital Marketing
- Create, execute and optimise the customer journey and funnel optimisation activity. And continuously optimise and improve our spend in digital to increase conversion and drive traffic into our stores.
- Create new ideas to help grow and improve results across leads, increase sales, grow social followers, increase traffic to our website and improve conversion.
- Measure, track, benchmark, and provide insights for digital marketing activities to improve continuously, including creating metrics and delivering quality, timely reporting using social tools and Google Analytics.
- Management of agreed digital marketing programs & promotions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into our digital strategies.
- Be proactive in identifying reputational issues, problems and opportunities
- Work closely with Social Media & Comms Specialist to Drive the social media presence of the organisation, including community engagement, and campaign execution.
- Develop email marketing campaigns and work with marketing team to execute effectively.
Analytics & Reporting
- Use analytics tools to track the performance of content marketing efforts.
- Regularly report on key performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement, conversion rates, lead generation, and overall user experience.
- Ensure that clear reporting is in place for KPIs and metrics to enable the business to iterate and improve.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal Liaisons: Product team, sales team, customer service and finance.
External Liaisons: Media agency, talent, influencers, print suppliers, event & expo suppliers, retail customers and service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, demand generation
- Solid digital marketing experience and a demonstrated understanding of content management platforms (such as Typo 3, Magento, Mircosoft, Bigcommerce or Salesforce)
- Proficiency in SEO/SEM tools
- Good understanding of the (Digital) Marketing funnel
- Knowledge of digital advertising, social and website analytics tools
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, communication and presentation skills and excellent personal presentation
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- A collaborative nature and positive, can-do attitude!
NOTE: this position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) because from time to time the incumbent will be doing child-related work within the meaning of the Working with Children Act 2005.
