We are looking for an Lead Material Planner & Project Manager Supply Chain

Main Purpose of Role:

The main task is to plan and ensure timely supply of incoming materials (purchased parts, components, raw materials) for all EMEA plants, including adherence to production and shipping deadlines while considering the target objectives for the respective inventory levels (coverage, safety stock).

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Continuous review of the current demand plan, including communication and coordination with each supplier to proactively ensure sufficient production capacities.
  • Timely implementation of orders for all responsible materials. Orders must be planned, correctly placed, and continuously monitored from placement to delivery to ensure timely delivery of the required quantity to the respective plant.
  • Accurate maintenance of master data for all responsible products, including correct definition of min./max. safety stocks and lead times in the ERP system.
  • Continuous monitoring of inventory levels, including adherence to inventory goals (coverage, safety stock).
  • Ensuring close collaboration and communication with all suppliers and plants (EMEA and Hong Kong).
  • Ensuring close collaboration with shipping planning, demand planning, production, procurement, product management, and customer service to ensure timely realization of product launches and discontinuations.
  • Continuous consideration of current PPM and OTIF rates for each responsible item and supplier, including close collaboration with the respective multi-functional team regarding coordination of corrective actions.
  • Ensuring a short response time to changes in production plans, including review and, if necessary, adjustment of orders in coordination with all involved suppliers.
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement measures in material supply for all responsible products.
  • Timely support for the annual inventory.

Project Manager Supply Chain:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies for the control and continuous improvement of our supply chain.
  • Process design and re-design of supply chain processes.
  • Core team member of the supply chain in new projects.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications Required:

  • Successfully completed studies or comparable qualification with an economic or technical focus, or successfully completed training with a commercial or logistical focus.

Previous Job Experience Required:

  • Experience in material supply and warehouse management, combined with strong numerical and organizational skills, is required for this role. Minimum 2 years of professional experience as Lead Material Planner or equivalent position.

Key Skills Required:

  • Excellent knowledge in disposition / MRP controlling.
  • Excellent knowledge in at least one ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX2009/2012 preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Good knowledge of supplier development is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Negotiation skills in German and English.

  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure based on objectives.
  • High degree of flexibility and teamwork.
