Associate Product Manager: Car Seats

Aufgaben

Overall Responsibility

This position will be responsible for assisting with the execution of product strategies for existing and new products including, supporting product development activities for our brands. These activities include but are not limited to participating in consumer observation and research, sales support, product planning, finished goods sourcing, new product development, and competitive analysis. This position, with direction from management, will develop and maintain the product road map and launch schedules, contribute to design and production of planned marketing programs while working as part of a lean cross functional team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Product Development & Strategy

  • Assist in developing and executing product roadmaps and launch schedules.
  • Participate in consumer research, competitive analysis, and product testing.
  • Recommend product specifications, pricing, positioning, and target markets.
  • Support business case development and ROI analysis for new product initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Works closely with project leaders in coordinating product line activities between industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, channel marketing, marketing communications, packaging and finance.
  • Ensure alignment with brand values across product development and marketing efforts.
  • Submit and track creative briefs for packaging and digital assets.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Monitor product performance, inventory, and forecasting.
  • Monitors competitive activity and product line positioning and understands competitive product offerings, features, benefits and competitive advantage.
  • Audit product listings, merchandising, and pricing across customer platforms.
  • Support product setup and data uploads in systems like AX and Salsify.

Marketing & Sales Support

  • Works with marketing communications to establish strategic direction for product positioning message, advertising plans, promotions, P.O.P., packaging, sales support materials, etc.
  • Works with Sales team to deliver and execute effective trade customer programs and establish basic product and channel selling strategies.
  • Ensures that the core brand values are followed throughout the organization including product development, channel marketing and packaging teams.
  • Conduct product training for internal teams and external partners.

Research & Insights

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Supports coordination of market research activities to maintain a deep understanding of consumer needs and trends. Is in frequent contact with consumers and retailers. Translates this understanding into products and feature innovations and enhancements.
  • Translate consumer insights into product enhancements and innovations.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years Product Management, Marketing and/or Channel/Sales Management experience with emphasis in new product development and/or product line management 
  • Consumer Goods/Durable Goods industry experience preferred
  • Financial competency 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
