National Account Manager

 About the role:

Reporting to, and supported by the Commercial Director, this role is responsible for the account management of Britax’s key retail partners. The primary tasks for this role are to maximize sales and margins of Britax brands and categories by partnering with the retailer.  You will work on strategic planning that includes promotional planning, sales forecasting, product training and in-store execution. . 

Working with, and supported by the broader commercial team within Britax, this key role has accountability for managing the strategic relationship with key retailers. This role will partner with both internal and external stakeholders on joint business planning based on category leadership and consumer demand which in turn will contribute growth for both parties. 

Key Accountabilities:

Commercialisation & retailer engagement 

  • Develop & nurture relationships within key retail partners.
  • Develop, maintain and execute joint business plans
  • Monitor, analyse and develop insights from sell-in & POS data.
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end process from product ranging-planning-order-fulfilment-retail sales
  • Provide recommendations and insights to further enhance category management for Britax and key retail partners. 

Operational Management

  • Working cross-functionally with product management and demand planning to provide input / insights into the demand planning process.
  • Working with product management & marketing teams to ensure a consistent instore and online activation of the Britax brands. 
  • Support the ANZ Leadership by providing regular insight and reporting of performance to KPIs as well as supporting financial forecasting & budgeting cycles.

Range development & market segmentation strategy

  • In collaboration with Product and Commercial Directors, define and develop customer relevant product assortment strategy.
  • Maintain knowledge of product trends locally and globally
  • Manage market segmentation strategies.

KPI's:

  • Sales Volume, Value & Profit targets.
  • Promotional Planning & effectiveness. 
  • Market share within retail partner.
  • Forecast accuracy. 

Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of experience working for premium consumer goods brand responsible for account management of Retailers across Australia and New Zealand, with a demonstrable set of skills from managing either a multi brand, or multi category portfolio.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills, ideally with advanced skills in using tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
  • Ability to confidently build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to adjust and be flexible in a changing environment, ready to accept new ideas and innovative process and methods.
  • Energy and drive, demonstrating a real commitment in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.
  • In depth understanding of the Australian and New Zealand consumer and retail landscapes.
  • Tertiary qualification in business and/or marketing.
